    • I bought this book for free on as I decided yesterday I wished to read a cool, short thrilling novella that I could race through within 24 hours. It is a story about our hero; FBI agent Ingrid Skyberg. She happens to be in London doing some lecturing to uninterested English officers in Scotland Yard about how to handle violence to children cases. The she gets a text. Meet me outside and a car is waitingThis is how our story commences. The "long and the short" of it is that a very important young [...]

    • This is a light weight book, a prequel to her later books. It's quite fun, not very thought provoking, not an 'urgent' book.I admire anybody who can complete and sell a novel, believe me that's tough. So I wish Ms Skyberg the best of luck.It won't become a classic, it's not up there with Donnelly, Stark, Westlake, Steinhauer, Coben. But for amusing fun if you like a light-weight detective-verging-on-spy type thing, you will find it fun.

    • Three agents of the FBI are in London to give a presentation when the woman giving the talk is called out for a phone call and shortly the second woman is also called of the session leaving the lone man to finish up. The women are escorted to a room in the US Embassy and left in a locked room after having all their electronic devices confiscated. One complains loudly about the loss of her phone and the inability to talk with her children back in the states, while the other, Ingrid Skyberg, is qu [...]

    • This eBook was an unexpected treat. Although not a Christian novel, as I usually prefer, this novella was clean and decent. There was some light profanity, in appropriate settings, but none of the F-word or super-offensive stuff so common in today's media and entertainment. There was no sex or graphic violence. Although one character, Nick Angelis, was clearly attracted to the point-of-view character, Ingrid Skyberg, there was none of the usual over-the-top romantic hanky-panky going on. Angelis [...]

    • Well !!! From zero to hour in one fell swoop ! I hated The Loyal Servant, thought it was terrible and I have had this one downloaded for almost a year and kept putting it off.I'm not sure how that happened. I either got it before the first one I read by her or because I'd deleted the other one I downloaded it in error. Plus I don't usually download a book under 200 pages and this is a little shy of that. Anyway, I thought I'd finally take a look.I loved it ! A terrific protagonist-I liked her im [...]

    • A great easy and quick read. But interesting too.Ingrid Skyberg - FBI agent is in the UK at a conference when she is left a text message to leave immediately and a car is waiting for here is taken to the Embassy where she is tasked with finding a teenage girl, but this is not just any teenage girl. This is the granddaughter of the Secretary of State.Time is against Ingrid, and she has a task on her hands to find this girl and find her quickly. For a short read there seemed to be an awful lot pack [...]

    • A kick-ass protagonist with an interesting, keep-em-guessing story line makes this an entertaining mystery/thriller -- easy read!

    • I like Eva Hudson, and this series. Hadn't read the prequel yet, sets the scene for later books nicely. A quick easy read, perfect for summer garden reading in one go!

    • A man's-man British agent and a thinks-she-can-do-anything female American agent track and chase an 18-year old girl rendezvouing with her boyfriend. No one else knows and they have no backup because her grandma's doing delicate negotiations and they don't want to "upset" her. As if a governmental agent doesn't know how to be poised and self-controlled during crisis. It's ridiculously hard to catch this kid as she's nobody special but somehow by staying "off the grid" and running super fast, she [...]

    • A fun readRun Girl is a fun book to read. Because of the length of the book, you can finish it with just a few hours of reading. I thought it was a great intro to the series and the characters. I would recommend it to anyone interested in London, government agencies or a strong female lead.

    • A fast and quick read, in case you're looking for some groundbreaking thriller then this is not for you. No particular twist and turn out that one can't guess. May or may not read other sequel books.

    • This is a novella that I received free on my Nook. The Secretary of State is ready to leave for Paris when her teenage granddaughter shows up at the airport and insists that she go along. The girl is rebellious and spoiled by grandma. Then the fun begins!

    • SillyBook lacked much depth to the plot. And why do all female main characters need to be rude to everyone around them?

    • I really enjoyed this book. It had action, adventure and a hint of romance. I can't wait for the next book of this series. I have to find out what Ingrid does next.

    • Excellent ReadWell rounded characters and an interesting plot line made this book an excellent read. I am looking forward to reading more by Eva Hudson

    • I am not a lover of political books so it was an easy read but an unrealistic story. Wouldn't want to read any more like that.

    • Boring. The plot might have been interesting if the girl had some more interesting motive to run away. I could've done without reading this.

    • Gripping A real page turner! Fast paced and easy to read. The story keeps you on edge wondering what will happen next. I throughly enjoyed it.

    • Never underestimate an 18 year old girlJayne Whitticker, Secretary of State, is about to board a special plane bound across the Atlantic on a highly sensitive mission. As the minutes tick by an imminent storm is brewing when suddenly she and her driver are stopped from boarding by an unexpected security breach. At the last possible moment, she finds herself with her teenage granddaughter and no time to change her flight plans but to take Rachel with her, possibly risking Jayne's entire career. A [...]

    • I gave this a medium rating because there was something about it that drew me in; I haven't quite worked it out yet but hope things will get clearer if I try the next in the series. The plot was set up and dialogue and actions seemed juvenile and forced at times and a undesirable character was introduced and then forgotten. We will see, there must be something there for this feeling to still be here.

    • Hmm. Another free download, another disappointment. I really should ensure I have a spare novel with me at all times as opposed to taking a punt with free iBook thrillers that prove to be less than thrilling. I should read free classics instead, maybe. This wasn't a complete disaster - the author's use of English was good, the pace of the story (an American politician's grand-daughter goes missing in London and a male/female pairing race against the clock to track her down) was also well maintai [...]

    • I really enjoyed this book, this is a new author to me and I can't wait to read more. I thought it was well written and it kept you thinking about what might happen next.
